Since their discovery at the dawn of immunological sciences, polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) have gained broad interest and we have come to realise their importance in innate immune responses. Patrick Rijkschroeff aims to increase general knowledge on oral PMNs, which aids in the study on physiological and pathological processes that occur within the healthy and inflamed oral cavity.
