David Koops investigates queueing systems with nonstandard arrival processes. These range from doubly stochastic Poisson processes driven by shot noise and Hawkes processes to nonhomogeneous Possoin processes and Lévy-driven fluid queues. His main focus is the performance evaluation of the corresponding queueing systems.
