This year over 500 students and staff of the UvA and HvA ran the 16 kilometres from Amsterdam to Zaandam. The joint team from both institutions was the sixth largest group team.

This year over 500 students and staff of the UvA and HvA ran the 16 kilometres from Amsterdam to Zaandam. The joint team from both institutions was the sixth largest group team. All the runners from the UvA and HvA team gathered before the start at the student cultural centre CREA before leaving together for the start line.

Both the ladies and mens competitive teams did well again this year with podium places. The women's team took an impressive second place and the men's team a commendable third place.

The three fastest women:

Gabriela Guzman Sanabria, UvA University Sports Centre employee, finishing time: 1.06.38
Kathryn Thompson, Cultural Studies student UvA, finishing time: 1.08.58
Sonja van Oers, Health Sciences student HvA, finishing time: 1.12.00

The three fastest men:

Leon Ineke, Law student UvA, finishing time: 55.22 (2nd in the business run competition)
Michael Hull, Medicine student UvA-AMC, finishing time: 55.30 (3rd in the business run competition)
Thomas Miedema, Computer Science student UvA, finishing time: 57.02

Afterwards, all runners were able to eat, drink and exchange experiences in the UvA / HvA tent at the business village in Zaandam, and prizes were also presented to the competitive teams and runners.
