On Tuesday, 8 January, the Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Ratan Tata will be the guest interviewee in ‘Room for Discussion’, a regular series of interviews and debates organised by the study association at the University of Amsterdam’s (UvA) Faculty of Economics and Business. The event will take place from 13:00 to 14:00 in the E-hall of the Roeterseilandcomplex (Roetersstraat 11, Amsterdam). Later on the same day, Tata will receive an honorary doctorate from the UvA during the celebration of the Dies Natalis (the University’s anniversary).
Students will have ample opportunity to ask questions to Ratan Tata. The event is open to everyone.
Ratan Naval Tata (1937) is chairman of Tata Sons and the Tata Group (until December 2012). He has also served as chairman of various Tata companies including Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Tata Consultancy Services. He is also chairman of the major philanthropic arms of the Tata Group: the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and the Sir Ratan Tata Trust.
