Cultural differences are often part of the challenge and the joy of studying abroad. To help students adapt to a foreign learning environment, international students will be treated to a special programme about studying abroad and living in the Netherlands during the upcoming Master’s Day event in March.
Master’s Day will take place this year on Saturday, 2 March at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). International students who participate in the event will begin the day attending information sessions for specific study programmes. Participants will then have a chance to speak with current international students about their experiences at the UvA. In addition to a general session covering practical information about studying at the UvA and life in Amsterdam, international students will take an afternoon tour of the UvA, exploring the highlights of the city together with current students and staff. The day will end with a final opportunity to ask questions during an informal drinks reception.
Master’s events are organised several times a year as an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about Master's programmes, the application process and other important matters related to studying at the UvA. The event includes sessions on specific study programmes as well as an open information fair where visitors can meet current students, study advisers and academic staff.
