A major power outage this morning (Friday, 27 March) has hit large parts of the province of North Holland and Amsterdam in particular. The UvA’s Science Park and IWO were without power. Both locations have been evacuated following protocol.

Update 13:30

The Communication Science exam at IWO at 17:00 will take place as scheduled. Students unable to attend due to problems with public transportation will be given an alternative time to take the exam.

All exams at IWO until 17:00 hours are cancelled. 

Update 12:20

All of today's exams at the University Sports Center (USC) are cancelled, regardless of the faculty organising the exam. Also, today's Faculty of Economics & Business exams at IWO are cancelled. More information about the other faculties will follow.

Please note that all Faculty of Science exams have been cancelled for today, regardless of their location.

All Faculty of Science exams at the location Science Park are cancelled for today.

Without electrical power, there is no ventilation. Depending on the duration of the power failure, a decision will be made about whether activities can be resumed. No more classes will be held today at Amsterdam Science Park.

The Faculty of Science exams that were set to take place before 13:00 have been cancelled. More information about the exams scheduled for this afternoon at the Faculty of Science will be provided today around noon (12:00).
