Amsterdam is the most popular student city in the Netherlands and among the top 15 in mainland Europe, according to the latest QS Best Student Cities 2017 ranking.
In the latest ranking, Amsterdam is placed 36th out of 100 cities from across the globe and is the only Dutch city on the list. Last year, Amsterdam also came out on top in the Netherlands.
The QS Best Student Cities ranking is based on a number of factors, including diversity, affordability and employment prospects, and assesses cities in six categories: student mix, desirability, employer activity, affordability, rankings and student view.
This year’s QS Best Student Cities ranking is topped by Montréal, followed by Paris and London in second and third place respectively.
