Besides the activities the demissionary minister will visit, there is much more to do: take a tour of Anna's garden, do the Pokémon Evolution Game or have a tour of the star domes.
At the Physics Fair, visitors can experience how fascinating physical phenomena are. There are dozens of experiments, from relatively simple to quite complicated. A group of enthusiastic students give explanations and participants are invited to join in.
The students of the Dutch Nao Team have a football team made up only of robots. The team is even competing in the international championships in Bangkok this year. At the Visualisation Lab, you can take part in a demo of the VR adaptation of the comic book "Het allerkleinste", which stars Dijkgraaf, who guides the reader through the world of molecules, atoms and even smaller particles.
Every year, Weekend of Science conducts an investigation to explore the frontiers of science. In 2023, a new research will be launched on the human drive for new experiences and knowledge. This research, called "Hoe nieuwsgierig ben jij?" is led by Maartje Raijmakers, professor of psychology at the UvA and the VU. Participants are asked to watch videos and share their curiosity. By observing people's responses and analysing answers to targeted questions, the researchers hope to gain deeper insight into what exactly drives curiosity.
