Prof. André Nollkaemper, university professor of International Law and Sustainability and former dean of the Faculty of Law, has been appointed as a temporary member of the Executive Board by the Supervisory Board of the UvA. Nollkaemper's appointment is as of 15 June and he will remain in office until 1 September 2025.

Nollkaemper will act as temporary member of the Executive Board until the return of Executive Board president Edith Hooge – expected in September – and to bridge the period between the departure of vice-president Jan Lintsen and the arrival of his successor Richard Goldstein. During Hooge's absence, Peter-Paul Verbeek will act as president of the board; he will combine this role with that of Rector Magnificus.

‘I am very pleased that André, despite his busy work as a university professor, is willing to temporarily strengthen the Executive Board. He is an experienced and collegial administrator who knows the UvA inside and out,’ says Jolande Sap, chair of the Supervisory Board.

Due to his other duties, Nollkaemper will be part of the Executive Board for three days a week.
