THE World Reputation Rankings

The Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings employs the world’s largest invitation-only academic opinion survey to provide a definitive list of the top 100 global university brands. A spin-off of the annual Times Higher Education World University Rankings, the reputation list is compiled with questionnaires completed by more than 10,000 scholars and scientists from 142 countries. In the annual THE World University Rankings 2014-2015,  the UvA is ranked at 77th spot.

The global three

Harvard University (US) holds first place in the THE World Reputation Rankings 2015, followed by the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford (UK) in second and third place respectively. In total, there are five Dutch universities in the top 100: Delft University of Technology (51-60), University of Amsterdam (51-60), Leiden University (61-70), Wageningen University (61-70) and Utrecht University (71-80). From position 51, range groups are used because the differences in scores are too small.
