Prof. A. Veneziano (1966) has been appointed professor of European Property Law at the University of Amsterdam’s (UvA) Faculty of Law.
Anna Veneziano, professor of Law

Anna Veneziano’s research focuses both on international and European contract and sales law and on European securities law. She will be joining the Property, Publicity, Priority research group at the UvA’s Centre for the Study of European Contract Law (CSECL) and lecturing for the Master’s courses in European Property Law and Financing & Security.

 

A professor of Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Teramo in Italy, Veneziano is currently on leave to serve as deputy secretary-general of the Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT). She has previously held various international appointments as a guest lecturer. Veneziano studied law at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, and took her Master’s degree in Law at Yale Law School in the United States. She earned her doctorate in comparative law at the University of Florence in Italy.

 

Veneziano is the co-author of Principles, Definitions and Model Rules of European Private Law: Draft Common Frame of Reference (Sellier European Law Publishers, 2009), and together with Luisa Antoniolli Deflorian published The Principles of European Contract Law and Italian Law, A Commentary (Kluwer Law International, 2005).
