Experience Days

Get to know our Bachelor's programmes

Experience Days

It is no longer possible to apply for the UvA Experience Days. We have had to cancel this activity in line with measures aimed at preventing the further spread of the Coronavirus. We will inform everyone who applied personally. We are currently looking at possible online alternatives, so please keep an eye on this page.

Information in Dutch

If you have any questions about a programme please contact one of our study advisers. You can find their contact details under ‘Contact’ on the individual programme pages.

Three reasons to join an Experience Day

  1. Attend a lecture, seminar or practical training with other prospective students. This is a great way to get to know the Bachelor’s programme that you’re interested in.

  2. You’ll get to visit the campus and get a feel for student life at the UvA.

  3. After the Experience Day, you’ll know whether the UvA and the Bachelor’s you’re interested in are the right fit for you.

Practical information

  • Experience Days take place on a weekday, which means you will need to request leave from school in order to attend.
  • It is helpful to have already attended a Bachelor’s Day, which provides more general information about Bachelor’s programmes (about admissions and the study programme) as this won’t be covered during the Experience Days.
  • The Experience Days are aimed specifically at prospective students. Your guardian or parent cannot attend the Experience Day with you.

Do you have questions about the Experience Days? Check our Experience Days FAQs. If you can’t find the answer online, you can ask Central Student Service Desk.

Alternative: Student for a Day

Is there no Experience Day for the Bachelor's programme in which you're interested? You can also become a student for a day and discover what it is like to study at the UvA. You will spend part of a day with a current student, attending a lecture or practical training and visiting the campus.
