If you would like to enrol in an elective course at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), yet are a student at another Dutch research university or university of applied sciences, you will first need to register as an elective course student in Studielink and follow the steps described below. As a UvA student, you can enrol directly in elective courses.
Check the Course Catalogue for information about the course you wish to follow. As long as you meet the entry requirements, many courses can be taken as an elective course. If a course cannot be taken as an elective course, this is usually mentioned in the course description (‘Course only open to ...’).
