Programme Committees consist of an equal representation of students and lecturers, and play an important role in the education quality assurance process.
The UvA attaches great importance to the proper functioning of the Programme Committees. A Programme Committee is tasked with providing solicited and unsolicited advice aimed at ensuring and maintaining the quality of the study programmes. It does so by advising on the Teaching and Examination Regulations (OER) and their implementation, and giving advice to the study programme's management and the faculty dean on matters related to education within the programme. As such, the Committee plays an indispensable role in assuring quality.
