Ms. Nashia Ajaz is a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR). She holds an M.Phil. degree in Government and Public Policy from National Defence University, Pakistan. She has previously done her Bachelors in Gender Studies from Fatima Jinnah Women University, Pakistan. She has been awarded the PhD scholarship within the “Her Choice: Building Child Marriage Free Communities” programme.
In Pakistan, Ms. Ajaz is working as a visiting lecturer in the department of Gender Studies at Fatima Jinnah Women University. She is also working with a Non-Governmental Organization named Partners in Sustainable Development (PSD). Previously she has worked with Mehergarh: a Center for Learning, in which she carried out national level researches on women sensitive issues.
Her research areas mainly include gender issues, women rights, child rights, public policy, governance, household food security, etc.
