I am a political scientist at the University of Amsterdam. I received my PhD  at the Department of Political Science (UvA), and I am affiliated as researcher to this department. My research focuses on populism, nationalism and radical parties. What impact do these parties have on policy output? Are these parties a threat to liberal democracy? How do mainstream parties react?
For my publication on the impact of radical right parties on immigration policies I received in 2013 The Gordon Smith and Vincent Wright Memorial Prizes.
