Femke ten Bloemendal works at the Faculty of Humanities since January 2003. She is the international coordinator and responsible for the student exchanges of the Faculty of Humanities.
Femke holds and MA in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from the University of Utrecht and a BA in socio-legal services from the University of applied science in Utrecht. During her studies she specialised in working with youngsters and young adults. During her studies she studied abroad twice, in Sweden and Spain.
From January to May 2012 she has done practise based research at the University of Connecticut with a Fulbght-Schuan scholarship. The University of Connecticut is a U-21 partner of the UvA and is well know for its services to students studying with disabilities. The research theme was: study abroad with disabilities in US-EU partnerships.
