On May 1, 2018 I joined the Transnational Configurations Group as postdoctoral researcher. I am working with Evelyn Ersanilli, principal investigator on the RIGHTS project. This research looks into the complex dynamics of how the rights of low-skilled migrants are shaped and advocated. I will be working primarily on the intra-Asian migrant streams. My own research is on the role of the migration industry in migration governance, with an empirical focus on Southeast Asia. Theoretically, I am interested in conceptions of power in global governance and the practice turn. Methodologically, I aim to practice and continue developing feminist approaches to near-experience methods in IR.
