I obtained my BA in Pedagogics at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, the Netherlands, and my pre-master degree in Orthopedagogics and Research MA degree in Child Development and Education at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Currently, I am working on my dissertation in collaboration with Geertjan Overbeek (Preventive Youth Care), Eddie Brummelman (Developmental Psychopathology), and Helle Larsen (Developmental Psychology). I am a member of the research group: 'Preventive Youth Care' and my research is part of Research Priority Area (RPA) Yield.
I am interested in how social and cognitive processes shape adolescent behavior. In my project, I investigate how changing peer norms can improve self-regulation in youth, with the aim to reduce antisocial behavior – such as bullying – in high-schools.
