Hodar Lam is an assistant professor of work and organisational psychology at the University of Amsterdam. He was a PhD candidate in Organisational Behaviour at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and received his MPhil in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and MPhil in Organisation Research from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
With a background in HRM and counselling, Hodar's research focuses on emotions and well-being issues (especially loneliness) in leadership and work contexts. He is also working on projects about job insecurity, presenteeism, depressive realism, and well-being interventions. He has shared his work and knowledge in a webcast, a podcast, and several media outlets such as Forbes, QS TopUniversities, IO at Work, and RSM Discovery.
Hodar has taught courses on leadership, diversity, social psychology, and the psychology of adolescence and adulthood.
