Associate Professor of Strategy and International Business (on leave of absence)
Niccolò Pisani is Associate Professor (with tenure) of Strategy and International Business at the University of Amsterdam Business School. He holds a PhD in Management from IESE Business School. His areas of expertise are strategic management and international business. Among the topics of his scholarly enquiry are global strategy, international corporate social responsibility, and offshoring. His research has been published or is forthcoming in journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Studies, as well as in practitioner-oriented outlets such as Harvard Business Review. His article in Journal of World Business has won the 2017 International Association for Business and Society Best Published Paper Award. His policy-oriented work in Journal of International Business Policy has been featured in the World Economic Forum Agenda. He has also published in leading European newspapers such as the Spanish El País and the Belgian L'Echo, as well as in popular online news platforms such as The Conversation and Yahoo News UK. Prior to entering academia, Dr Pisani worked several years as international manager for Sanlorenzo, one of the world's leading manufacturers in the luxury yachting industry. He also worked as a researcher for Merrill Lynch in its San Francisco office.
