I’m interested in how media communication, language, and stereotypes shape our cognition and influence how we form impressions of individual group members. Currently, I'm investigating two research questions:

    1) Does belonging to a negatively stereotyped social group influence how we form impressions about the morality of group members?

    2) How do racial biases communicated through the media influence how we form impressions of social groups?

For investigating these questions, I'm making use of traditional social psychological methods and methods from computer science such as computational modeling and natural language processing.
