    I am a Lecturer in Television & Cross-media Culture in the Media Studies department of the University of Amsterdam. I received my PhD in Film & Television Studies from the University of Warwick in 2020. I also hold a BA in Cultural Studies and MA in Art & Visual Culture (Dutch cum laude) from Radboud University Nijmegen. My research interests include costume and fashion on television, gender representation and various (other) matters of media style and aesthetics, as well as animation studies. Before starting at the University of Amsterdam, I taught a range of courses in film, television and media studies at the University of Groningen, University of Warwick, Coventry University and London Film School.
