There are several ways for you to orient yourself towards the Bachelor's in Communication Science. By attending a Bachelor's day or another orientation activity you can prepare yourself well for your chosen study.
Twice a year the UvA organises a Bachelor's Day with information sessions and an information fair, where you can talk to students, lecturers and study advisers.. Click on 'Bachelor's day' for more information.
Not able to visit the open days due to the corona situation? You can still get in touch with current students!
Go and check out our Instagram page and ask questions via DM to Kim, Merel or Daniel.
For prospective students who can not make it to our Open days, the UvA regularly organises webinars on a range of topics. Our last webinar about the Bachelor's took place on Thursday 22 February 2018. It is now available on Youtube.
Twice a year the UvA organises Experience days (in December and April). During this week you can attend a lecture, campus tour and talk to current students. This is especially interesting if you have already done some research into the study programma (such as attending a Bachelor's Day and reviewing the information available online). Click on 'Experience days' for more information.
Spending a day shadowing a UvA student is a good way of finding out what studying and student life is really like. Click on 'Student for a day' for more information.
Did you watch the webinar and/or visited an open day, and did this make you enthusiastic about our programme? In the Skype session you will get the opportunity to ask a student about his or hers personal experiences with studying Communication Science at the UvA. Click on 'Skype session with a student' for more information and registration.
Complementary to the information sessions regarding all things Communication Science, we also offer personal Q&A Sessions for prospective students. These are primarily designed for international students who are not able to attend other promoting activities and to answer specific questions students have regarding studying Communication Science. Prior to booking a Q&A session, please make sure that you have looked at all the information material that is provided and looked at the promotion activities we offer. In the Q&A session, you are able to ask your complementary questions and we provide a small tour around the Roeterseiland Campus. Keep in mind that the Q&A sessions with our Student Assistants are not able to answer questions regarding admission, for that please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
