The academic staff are highly qualified European and international lawyers who use skill-focused and research-based teaching methods. All staff members are also part of the Amsterdam Centre for European Law and Governance (ACELG) research community.

The Amsterdam Centre for European Law and Governance (ACELG) has quickly developed into a research centre of excellence that hosts many events and lectures beyond the teaching curriculum. Students are invited to attend these events, which offer additional stimulus and complement students' studies by helping them develop an independent and critical approach to European Union Law.

ACELG’s particular strength is that it goes beyond the usual black-letter law approach by including governance and law in practice in its research and teaching methods. We prepare students for the fast changing professional environment by helping them acquire relevant knowledge and develop necessary skills for success.
