The Programme Director of the MSc in Cultural and Social Anthropology is Dr Yatun Sastramidjaja.
Mattijs van de Port is the Track Coordinator. He is an award winning filmmaker and visual anthropologist. His filmic work includes Savouring Brazilian Fruits (2013), The Possibility of Spirits (2016) and Knots and Holes, an Essay Film on the Life of Nets (2018). While recognizing the obvious strength of film as a medium that registers other people’s lifeworlds, he is particularly interested in developing a cinematographic language that speaks to anthropology’s intellectual pretentions.
