This minor offers students an orientation in the discipline of European Culture. Students gain knowledge of the field of European Cultural studies, by means of an overview of European culture, its principal research methods, and learn to apply these to present-day themes and topics within European culture.
This minor represents a unique proposition in the Faculty and the University. It offers Humanities students, but also those from Social Sciences, Economics and Law, the opportunity to specialize in the academic study of European Culture. Students from different disciplines, from history, media studes, art history and languages, but also from sociology, political science and anthropology, have good reason to study European culture-related questions.
