This Minor focuses on the history, institutions and policy-making in the European Union as well as on the theories of European integration. The courses place special emphasis on the consequences of European integration for the member states and European Union citizens as well as for the rest of the world and on the impact of global change on Europe and European integration. Topics such as migration, for instance, can no longer be analysed today without considering developments and actors within and from outside the European Union. In addition to courses, students will be able to attend a number of extra-curricular activities, such as an excursion to Brussels to visit selected European Union institutions.
