Dr. Paul Knevel, coordinator of the MA in Public History, and dr. Manon Parry, Assistant Professor of Public History, travel to Canada this week for their first meeting with the Editorial Board of The Public Historian, a publication of the National Council on Public History/University of California Press and the leading journal on the topic in the United States.
The Public Historian

International Consulting Editors

The two UvA faculty members were selected to join the Board as International Consulting Editors earlier this year, after responding to a call for proposals to help internationalise the journal. This is the first time the role has been held by anyone outside the US. Over the next two years, dr. Knevel and dr. Parry will create new opportunities for the international exchange of ideas and opportunities, in order to raise the profile of public history projects, practitioners, educators, and students, from the Netherlands and elsewhere, in the growing community of public historians.
