The Master's programmes Security and Network Engineering and Software Engineering received positive reviews in the new Universities Study Guide. In this guide students find independent advice about the Master's programmes in the Netherlands, based on the opinions of students and the national accreditation organisation NVAO.

This year is the first year that the Universities Study Guide does not show a total score and final assessment per study programme. As a result, there are no longer any rankings and no top courses have been appointed like in previous years.

Security and Network Engineering and Software Engineering

Nevertheless, the Security and Network Engineering and Software Engineering Master's programmes at the University of Amsterdam have received glowing reviews this year. They both score well compared to last year and also compared to other study programmes and institutes.

Both UvA programmes stand out

The Universities Study Guide states the following about both programmes: 'If you like the content, it is worth looking at the thematic masters, because the satisfaction here is higher there than with the general programs. Both UvA programmes stand out here in a positive way. According to the students, the content of the curriculum, the assessment, but also the teachers and supervision are well-organised in these Master's programmes.'

Composition of figures

The Universities Study Guide is largely based on student judgments. In addition, the assessments of the national accreditation organisation NVAO and the ROA, which looks at job guarantee and salary, are also examined.
