The education team of the Faculty of Science is nominated for the Dutch Higher Education Awards. This is the highest award in Dutch higher education in recognition of educational innovation and improvement in higher education.

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science makes € 2.5 million available annually for the three Dutch Higher Education Awards for higher professional education and € 2.5 million annually for the three Dutch Higher Education Awards for scientific education. Once awarded, the premiums are paid to the institution in proportionate installments via the lump sum over a four-year period.

These are distributed as follows:

  • the second place of the Dutch Higher Education Premium is € 800,000;
