Dynamics of climate coalitions
Abstract of the presentation:
The USA dropped out of the Kyoto climate agreement. This is seen as typical free rider behaviour, which in the end will aggravate the global warming problem. We investigate in an economic-ecological dynamic game the participation rate in ecological coalitions as a function of the state of pollution of the system. We find that this can fluctuate chaotically over time.
