A good relationship can bridge the gap between theory and practice - Martha Meerman(AIAS / HvA)

Kurt Lewin stated ‘nothing is as practical as a good theory’. Despite this wide used claim there remains a gap between science and practice in the field of HRM. The goal of the seminar is to give more inside in the gap of theory and practice in this field or broader in the field of Work Psychology or Labor studies.

In the seminar I will give a definition of the gap, potential causes and consequences. I will try to represent both sides of the gap. I also will discuss potential solutions of bridging the gap. One of them is perhaps the idea of AIAS, the idea of the ‘lector’ at the higher vocational schools, the co-operation of higher education institutions, consultant companies etc.

In my work I have found and will look for solutions of bridging the gap in a good relationship between science, education and business. What’s your solution?

A sandwich will be provided if you register before Monday by sending an e-mail to the address below.
