Professor Brendan O'Dwyer of the ABS Accounting section has won the Emerald Publishers 2011 Impact of Research Award. The award recognises work "considered ‘seminal’ in the academic community and demonstrates the significant impact it has on one or more of the following areas: the body of knowledge, practice, teaching and learning, public policy making, society and environment and the economy". The award was given for the paper entitled "Conceptions of corporate social responsibility: the nature of managerial capture" published in Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal in 2003.
