Amsterdam School of Economics (ASE) researcher Cars Hommes has been ranked number 1 in the 2023 ESB ranking of the top economists at universities in the Netherlands. This ranking, known as the 'Economenparade', is based on the relevance of publications related to the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Professor Hommes is joined by 2 ASE colleagues who were also included in the top 10 of the Economenparade. Arturas Juodis was ranked 3rd and Frank Kleibergen was ranked at number 6. All 3 researchers are part of the ASE's Quantitative Economics section.

The complete ranking and more information about the Economenparade can be found on the ESB website. The ESB is a platform for economics researchers working at Dutch universities.
