Many coronavirus restrictions in the Netherlands have been scrapped. At the same time, the coronavirus entry pass has been introduced and capacity restrictions continue to apply for certain locations. In this update you can read about the impact of this on activities and events at the UvA. We also provide more information on the restrictions that remain in force on our campus.

As of 25 September, all the UvA's educational, research and operational activities and events are no longer subject to COVID-related capacity restrictions. No coronavirus entry pass is required for these activities and events.

These are educational and research-related activities that are primarily aimed at current and future students and employees but which may also be attended by guests.

This includes regular lectures, as well as graduation and doctoral thesis defence ceremonies, inaugural lectures, open days, networking meetings, guest lectures, symposia, seminars, team meetings, farewell meetings, Dies Natalis (anniversary) celebrations and the opening of the academic year.

On this page you will find more information on organizing events of different categories such as parties and galas, external locations and seminars.

Symptons? Stay at home and get tested

Students and staff with COVID-related symptoms must still stay at home and get tested at the GGD.

Vaccination and self-testing

Self-testing and vaccination remain important in order to ensure the safest and most responsible return to the campus. We would therefore urge everyone to get vaccinated, if possible. View all vaccination locations in Amsterdam here.

We would also ask you to carry out a self-test at least twice a week. Self-tests are available at building entrances at the campus. You can also order your test at zelftestonderwijs.nl

Ventilation

All buildings have natural or mechanical ventilation that meets the requirements set out by the RIVM guidelines. We have concluded a maintenance contract for all the ventilation systems to ensure that they can be used safely and reliably. The ventilation is checked regularly and adjusted where necessary. Find more information on ventilation here.

Other safety measures

We will also continue to take other additional hygiene measures, such as extra cleaning and disinfection.
