Are you eligible for the Executive MSc in International Finance?

  • Academic credentials

    You are required to have a degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD) from a recognised research university in a related field, such as Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Mathematics or Corporate Law. 

    If you have a Bachelor's degree from a university of applied sciences, you are required to complete the pre-Master's programme, running from February to June.

  • Relevant work experience

    A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-graduate full-time work experience is required. Internships in a financial field may also be included.

  • Analytical skills

    There are 3 ways to test your analytical skills:

    1. GMAT or GRE: We require a minimum GMAT score of 630. If you have a GRE score, please check the GMAT equivalent of your GRE score using the GRE Comparison Tool for Business Schools. Please ask your institution to send us the test results directly.*
    2. Executive Assessment (EA): If you have not yet taken the GMAT or the GRE, and you have a minimum of 5 years of working experience, we encourage you to consider the EA. You can register for this assessment at https://www.gmac.com/executive-assessment.
    3. Inhouse LTP test.

    * You may apply while still preparing and send the test results later. However, we need to receive the test results by 31 May at the latest). The ABS institutional codes for test centres are: GMAT = 0500; GRE = 6739.

  • English proficiency

    A minimum TOEFL or 100 or IELTS score of 7.0 is required. You may be exempt from this requirement:

    • if you are a native English speaker;
    • if you have 2 years' international English-spoken professional experience;
    • if you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree taught in English*;
    • if you have graduated from Dutch pre-university secondary education ('VWO' in Dutch).

    Exemptions can only be confirmed once the admissions committee has received and reviewed your full application file.

    * Please note that your degree certificate or transcripts should mention that the language of instruction was English. If the language of instruction is not mentioned on the transcript or degree certificate, you will need to submit a letter from your higher education institution stating that the curriculum was completely taught in English.

  • Personal skills and qualities

  • Pre-Course Training and pre-Master's

    Depending on your academic background, you may be required to take the Pre-Course Training. This online training needs to be completed before the start of the regular programme. It brings you up to speed with the fundamentals of finance, financial accounting, quantitative methods and research skills. The exam is available online for all enrolled students at any moment until the end of June. In case of late enrolment this deadline can be extended until the end of July.
