Applicants from Economics and Business (UvA)

Unconditionally eligible

  1. Students holding a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences are unconditionally eligible to the programme.
  2. Students who have finished the Minor Actuarial Science are also unconditionally eligible. You can find information here about the admission procedure for Economics and Business students.
  3. Students holding a Bachelor's degree in Econometrics and Operations Research from the UvA- Economics and Business are also eligible to directly enter the Master's programme. However, to enter the postmaster APC programme required for membership of the Actuarieel Genootschap (Royal Dutch Society of Actuaries), these students need to have obtained the following Bachelor's courses, in addition to the Master's programme in Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance:
  • Mathematical and Empirical Finance or  Investment and Portfolio Theory 1.
  • Inleiding Leven Actuariaat 
  • Stochastische Modellen Levenactuariaat
  • Schade Actuariaat
  • Verslaglegging Levenactuariaat

Transition from Bachelor's to Master's

Not eligible to apply

Students holding a Bachelor's degree in the following Bachelor's courses, are not eligible to apply:

  • BSc Economie en Bedrijfskunde  
  • BSc Economics and Business 
  • BSc Fiscale Economie
