Supplementary internship reimbursement for students in a professional Master’s programme
Students enrolled in a professional Master's programme are entitled to student grants and loans for the taught part of the programme (60 ECTS). No student grants and loans will be provided for the 30 ECTS (60 ECTS for Curating Art and Cultures) earned during the internship.
The majority of professional Master's students receive an internship reimbursement, which is often more than the amount in student grants and loans from the Education Executive Agency (DUO). However, this is not always the case. Therefore, a financial arrangement has been devised especially for these students.
- Students who are not (or no longer) eligible for either a loan or a student grant from DUO do not qualify for a supplementary reimbursement.
- If the internship reimbursement is less than the amount which the student would otherwise receive in student grants and loans, the faculty compensates the difference so that the amount is equal to student grants and loans.
- Students who are no longer eligible for student grants during the term time, but who are still entitled to a loan, still qualify for a supplementary reimbursement. However, the above applies only if the internship reimbursement is less than the amount that the student would otherwise receive in student grants.
If you have any questions and/or want to apply for a supplementary internship reimbursement, please send an email to: Student Counsellors, Attn: Marjan Kuiper.
