Every academic year, the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies offers a range of electives that are open to all UvA students. Next semester's electives include several new courses relevant to actual contemporary challenges, such as 'Rethinking Sustainable Societies: Urban Lab', 'Pandemic', 'The Unknown Caribbean' and 'The Eternal Pursuit of Happiness'.
