The review paper Redox Non-Innocent Ligands: Versatile New Tools to Control Catalytic Reactions features at the fifth place in a ranking based on the number of citations. It provides an overview of the use of redox-active ("redox-noninnocent") ligands to steer and control catalytic reactions, which has become a popular and still growing research field. The ligands offer several handles to control important catalytic parameters, such as the electronic structure, substrate affinity and spin state. In addition, they can participate directly in making and breaking of chemical bonds.
