Business Administration (MSc)

International applicants

Please read all requirements carefully. In the online application you will be asked to upload proof of all mentioned requirements.

1. Academic Bachelor's degree

  • An academic Bachelor's degree (BSc or BA) in, (International) Business Administration or related.
  • Quantitative research oriented courses (intermediate/advanced) must be included in the Bachelor's curriculum up to an equivalent of minimally 10 EC.
  • Applicants must also have completed intermediate/advanced Business courses in at least two of the following fields: Strategy, International Management, Organization, Marketing, Leadership, Entrepreneurship or Organisational Psychology up to an equivalent of minimally 15 EC.

Please note that a Bachelor's degree from a university of Applied Sciences, a  Fachhochschule (Germany) or Polytechnic will not be taken into consideration, and that specific entry requirements apply to students with an AfricanChinese, or Indian Bachelor's degree. In the event that your previous education does not fulfill this programme’s requirements, you may wish to consider applying for a master-qualifying programme at the Cambridge Education Group

2.  English language proficiency

We require evidence of English language proficiency:

  • TOEFL IBT92 points overall and 22 points for each sub-score (TOEFL institution code: 9011)
  • IELTS (Academic test): 6,5 Overall and 6,0 for each sub-score
  • Cambridge Assessment English 
    • Certificate in Advanced English:  170 Points Overall and in each skill
    • Certificate of Proficiency in English: 170 Points Overall and in each skill

Test scores must also conform to the following guidelines:

  • An official test score must be received by the application deadline
  • If you do not provide a test score before the application deadline, you must have a test scheduled for a date which is before the application deadline
  • Your test score may not be more than 2 years old with respect to the start date of your programme

Be sure to plan your test on time; test dates fill quickly and it can take several weeks for you to receive your results. Applications without a sufficient score or with a test date after the application deadline, will not be accepted.

You have obtained your Bachelor's degree in one of the following countries: The Netherlands, Australia, Canada (with the exception of Quebec), Ireland, Malta, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States of America.

3. GMAT

All applicants need to take a GMAT test before the application deadline in order to be considered for the Master’s programme. So please start planning your test date on time.

Applicants are expected to achieve a score of 600 on their GMAT. If you do not achieve the expected score your application will still be considered. However, a minimum score of 560 is advised.  Applicants who submit a GMAT below this minimum score are generally not accepted into this programme.  If you do not meet at least the minimum score you may still retake your GMAT as long as the test date is before the 1st of April deadline. Please note that completion of all sections of the exam is required.

Based on mutual agreements with certain universities, students might be exempted from the GMAT requirement. Check the list of universities to see whether this applies to you

GRE

Instead of a GMAT, a GRE test score may be accepted in the following cases:

  • if you have already obtained a GRE score
  • if it is difficult to take the GMAT test on a short notice in your country (e.g. Suriname)

A score of 155 is expected from applicants for this program in the Quantitative Reasoning section. If you do not achieve the expected score your application will still be considered. However, a minimum score of 152 is advised. Applicants who submit a GRE below this minimum score are generally not accepted into this programme. If you do not meet at least the minimum score you may still retake your GMAT as long as the test date is before the 1st of April deadline. Please note that completion of all sections of the exam is required.

4. Motivation and initiative

Applicants are expected to have the intrinsic motivation to test and build upon this knowledge. Coursework is designed in keeping with this expectation and demands significant personal initiative and an active contribution on the part of the student. Applicants are asked to upload a motivation letter in their online application.
