The Graduate School of Social Sciences offers several possibilities to make up for (slight) credit deficiencies.
Application for pre-Master's programmes and courses is not needed. You need to apply to the Master’s programme of your choice, after which the Admissions Committee will assess your application and decide if a pre-Master's programme or course is needed and if it will sufficiently prepare you for entry to the Master's programme.
Promising students with a Bachelor's degree in a field related to political sciences but without sufficient background in European politics and social sciences research methodology, may be admitted provided that they complete a Dutch taught pre-Master's programme of a maximum of 60 ECTS first. The programme starts in September and is offered as a one-year full-time programme.

Promising students with slightly less background in social sciences research methodology than needed, may be admitted provided that they complete an intensive research methodology module in the four weeks prior to the Master's programme (July/August).
The tuition fee for the research methodology module in the academic year 2019-2020 is not available yet. Final fees will be announced by 1 December. The fees include lunch on class days, welcome and farewell events.

Promising students who do not fully (but nearly) meet the requirements or who are in need of brushing up on their knowledge in the field of social sciences and research methodology, may be admitted provided that they complete a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) or a reading assignment prior to the Master's programme.
