Nathalie Dijkman is a social entrepreneur who is heading the Faculty of Law's innovation & entrepreneurship space: the Amsterdam Law Hub. At the Amsterdam Law Hub, she promotes innovative collaborations between researchers, students and social partners. Among others, she developed the MA elective course Justice Entrepreneurship and set up a start-up fund and incubation track for students and researchers who want to launch a legal product or service into the market. She guided several spin offs through partnerships with Innovation Exchange Amsterdam, the Raad voor de Rechtsbijstand, ARAG and Nauta Duthil. The Amsterdam Law Hub is a space for co-creation that also hosts five legal advice walk-in clinics ('rechtswinkels') and hosts societal partners such as PILP, Bureau Clara Wichmann and Lawyers4Lawyers.

Nathalie is also the co-founder of SEMA - a social enterprise that allows citizens to give feedback on public services (such as police or courts) in East Africa through low-tech tools. SEMA has won the International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award in 2019 and works together closely with the University of Makerere to train students in research- and civic engagement skills. SEMA is headquartered in Kampala with 10 full-time staff.

Before SEMA, Nathalie worked at the Hague Institute for Innovation of Law, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement. Nathalie continues to mentor start-ups in the legal- and justice space and sits on two boards of social enterprises.

Nathalie received her MSc International Crimes and Criminology (Vrije Universiteit, 2012) and MSc Human Rights (London School of Economics and Political Science, 2014). Nathalie was elected Student of the Year at the VU (2013) and Entrepreneur of the Year as alumni in 2019 by LSE.
