  • Profile

I am a PhD at the Centre for Urban Mental Health, affiliated with both the Psychological Methods and the Computational Science labs. I am interested in applying the knowledge and analytical skills obtained during the masters Theoretical Physics and masters Computational Science in different disciplines.

In my PhD I work on computer models that investigate the interactions between ones social network and their behavior. Specifically, how ones addictive behaviour of alcohol use is influenced by the drinking behaviour of social connections - and vice versa. Combining knowledge of psychological theories with the power of computational methods I am applying new methods to better understand this complex issue of addiction and to eventually help find better intervention strategies.
