Biografie
Allard Feddes is universitair docent in de Sociale Psychologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Hij heeft een PhD in Sociale Psychologie (Friedrich-Schiller Universiteit van Jena, Duitsland, 2007) en een MSc. in Sociale en Organisatiepsychologie (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Nederland, 2004). Allard heeft daarnaast gestudeerd aan de Maynooth University (Ierland) en Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada), en heeft als post-doctoraal onderzoeker gewerkt aan het ISCTE-Lisbon University Institute (Portugal) en aan de Universiteit van Milano-Bicocca (Italië). Allard is breed geïnteresseerd in de vraag hoe groepslidmaatschap ons denken (cognitie), voelen (affect en emoties) en gedrag beïnvloedt. Zijn onderzoek omvat onderwerpen als vooroordelen, stereotypering en discriminatie; antecedenten en gevolgen van hate crime misdrijven; collectieve actie; radicalisering, terrorisme en populisme. Daarnaast is Allard geïnteresseerd in het ontwikkelen van interventies (d.w.z. het tegengaan van discriminatie) en hoe je het beste kunt laten zien wat werkt en wat niet (evidence-based evaluatie).
