    2014-2015 Post.doc University of Amsterdam, SPIN: Study Platform of Interlocking Nationalisms. Support by the Carlsberg Foundation in Denmark.

     

    2014 – 2017 Leader of the Network on Travel Writing to the Far North 1800-1900. Supported by the Nordic Cultural Point. 

     

    Area of focus:

     

    The relation between literature and nationalism in the long nineteenth-century 1790-1914. Canonization of cultural traditions, writers and genres in 19th Century Europe. Cultural translation, memory studies and imagologi, as well as migration studies and European travel writing.

    2007- Founded the publishing house Eksil Publishing (11 books edited so far).

    2013 and 2014 Writers retreats in Gotland at the Baltic Writers Centre in Visby and in Hald Hovedgård in Viborg Jylland.

    2004 Nominated best literary critic in Scandinavia, by The Nordic Council and the magazine Nordisk Literature.
