    Laurens De Vos is als Universitair Docent verbonden aan het departement Theaterwetenschap van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Hij studeerde Germaanse literatuur aan de Universiteit van Gent en Literary Studies aan de KULeuven. In 2006 promoveerde hij aan de Universiteit Gent op een proefschrift over de nalatenschap van Antonin Artaud in 20ste eeuws Engels drama. Zijn onderzoeksdomein is vooral gecentreerd op psychoanalyse en Samuel Beckett en Sarah Kane. Hij is lid van Contemporary Drama in English (CDE) en redactielid van het theatertijdschrift Documenta.
