  • Profile

After completing my Bachelor of Administration (2011) and Master of Education (2014) in China, I immediately moved to the Netherlands to start my 4-year PhD project. Currently, I am a PhD student in the Department of Developmental Psychology in the University of Amsterdam. I am supervised by Prof. Reinout Wiers and Dr. Helle Larsen, and I am working as a member of ADAPT lab (http://www.impliciet.eu/).

My research interest is implicit cognition (e.g., cognitive biases) and addiction (e.g., smoking). Specifically, my PhD project mainly focuses on investigating the effectiveness of smoking cessation interventions combined Cognitive Bias Modification (e.g., Action Tendencies Re-training, Inhibition Control Training) and Motivational Interviewing on smoking cessation. Through this project, I would like to answer three research questions: (a) do these interventions have effects on smoking cessation? (b) if so, how these interventions work? and (c) for whom these interventions work best?
