Psychology is everywhere you look. Even though it is a relatively young field, over the last 100 years it has already penetrated the very fabric of society. Humans and their behaviour are an endless source of inspiration for research.

1. What makes the UvA different from other universities?
You can specialize in one of our 7 specialiszations as early as the second year and in the third year you have the option to choose a second specialiszation, a minor or a semester abroad.

2. What does the selection procedure look like?
The selection consists of attending 2 lectures, a week of self-study and a test on the material discussed in those 2 lectures. A ranking will be made based on the scores on the test. No other aspects will be taken into account when the ranking is made.

3. Is Biology a requirement?
It is not mandatory, but it can be helpful.

4. Is the Bachelor’s programme fully in English?
During our bachelor you follow lectures in English. The literature, books and exams are also in English. The small-scale work groups are held in Dutch or English. The choice is yours!
